This is the map of Spain we used to practice measuring the radius of the Earth as it did 2300 years ago Eratosthenes. This practice is coordinated by Professor Peter Closas from Barcelona and is included within the activities to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.
With this map we have to calculate the distance of Fuente Vaqueros to parallel 40 º using a simple rule.
